Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII is the groundbreaking 1972 concert film directed by Adrian Maben, presented here on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. Digitally remastered from the original 35mm footage, it features enhanced audio newly mixed by Steven Wilson, including Dolby Atmos (feature film only). Filmed in the ancient Roman Amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy, it captures an intimate performance plus rare behind-the-scenes footage of the band beginning work on The Dark Side of the Moon at Abbey Road Studios.

This is my 3rd copy of Live in Pompeii and I’m not even mad. I’ve owned this on VHS, DVD and now UHD. If you did not catch the remaster in theaters this is a must buy. The video has been restored and Steve Wilson’s audio remix is worth the price of admission alone. Pompeii is critical to understanding Pink Floyd and in my view this is an essential listen/watch.
