Pink Floyd at Pompeii – MCMLXXII is the groundbreaking 1972 concert film directed by Adrian Maben, presented here on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. Digitally remastered from the original 35mm footage, it features enhanced audio newly mixed by Steven Wilson, including Dolby Atmos (feature film only). Filmed in the ancient Roman Amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy, it captures an intimate performance plus rare behind-the-scenes footage of the band beginning work on The Dark Side of the Moon at Abbey Road Studios.

    Disc arrived is perfect shape and ran flawless on my player. Film quality is amazing...I have seen this film many times but never at this level of detail and fidelity. Amazing job!

    Even better picture quality than the Blu-ray counterpart!!

    I really enjoyed watching this concert film in stunning 4K! The colors are much brighter and the overall picture quality is much sharper than the Blu-ray counterpart. I'm actually glad I repurchased this after buying the Blu-ray release. They did a marvelous and painstaking process remastering this for Ultra-HD; it's almost as if it was filmed just yesterday. Certainly the best way to enjoy this legendary film hands down!!

    PF takes Pompeii

    I loved watching PF in Pompeii in UHD watching a guitar master play close up. It is a shame that the show appeared to be centred about DG rather than the group. He is an older version (still brilliant) of the virtuoso a few decades back, and it does show. The playlist wasn’t fabulous, but I suppose there a night curfew but I could have listened and watched for a few more hours.

    Not as good as I expected, but its still Pink Floyd.
