Originally released as a limited edition for Record Store Day in 2019, the mono mix of Pink Floyds_ A Saucerful of Secrets_ was remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman from the 1968 analog tapes. Pressed on 180 gram vinyl, the album is presented in a black, poly-lined inner sleeve inside a reproduction of the original LP sleeve.
With classics like "Set the Controls For The Heart Of The Sun", "Remember a Day" and "Jugband Blues", A Saucerful Of Secrets is the only album to feature the five band members: Roger Waters on bass and vocals, Richard Wright on keyboards and vocals, Nick Mason on drums, Syd Barrett and David Gilmour on guitar and vocals.

My praises and criticisms are the same as the Mono Piper, So here's the quote from that review "The record quality is great, Has no warp or scratches. The sleeve is great though it is a missed oppritunity to have it replicate the flipbacks." The only thing I could add was this one appeared a bit warped but not so much that it ruined playability and It could just be my eye's playing tricks and that Corporal Clegg sounds terrible...mostly because it was always mixed terribly imo (Which well I hate that song)

Piper is a great album. Very artsy and creative. Syd Barrett is a genius. The whole band is great. Lots of cool sound effects added that do not sound like traditional musical instruments. A great buy.

The mono mixes of the first two Pink Floyd albums are more powerful sounding (and feeling) than the more light and delicate stereo versions which apparently were created after the fact. I am delighted to hear both recordings in this new light.
