Live at the Roundhouse is unlike any other concert film connected with Pink Floyd. Its the nearest thing you can get to a time machine, transporting you back to the very earliest days of the band. Nick Mason, the only band member to have played on all of Pink Floyds studio albums, returns to the group's earliest records, joined in the line-up by Gary Kemp, Guy Pratt, Lee Harris and Dom Beken.
Nick Masons Saucerful of Secrets took the drummer back to clubs for the first time since 1967, then to theatres, across the UK, North America and Europe, playing only music his old band had recorded before The Dark Side of the Moon.
Captured from the bands celebrated shows at Londons Roundhouse, where Pink Floyd played some of their most revered early shows in the 1960s, the film features a uniquely thrilling setlist including songs hailing from Syd Barretts time with the band. Only four songs from this eclectic roster have ever previously appeared on official live releases by Pink Floyd or its members. Everything else is being experienced for the first time since their original live performances.

This is a great DVD and CD. This is the best of all the early Pink Floyd. Nick Mason took this material to a new level. Not only are they great musicians but they are having fun. The music is fresh again and not stale like the David Gilmore version of Pink Floyd. I like them also but they fell into a rut. Nick Mason is heading in a positive direction. Hope for more music from this incarnation.

I read an article about this release and I got excited about a live version of those early songs. I did not know the musicians other that Nick Mason. The musicians are fantastic. It is the best way to hear these songs and they really put it together. The recording was done really well. I can really get the live feeling of the music. I enjoyed the additional material on the DVD. It was good to hear the musicians talk about the project. Their passion for the project came through. And it really came through in the music.

Fantastic! Nick sounds great on the kit. The band is tight. Vocals are on point. And it’s so great to hear proper live versions of these early songs. Especially the Syd songs like Lucifer Sam and even Vegetable Man! Highest recommendation! With all due respect to David and Roger, this is the best live album ever put out by one of the Floyds!
