Very great film. Not only about Syd but also puts a lot of rummors to rest. Great that everyone got together and told real facts.

There have only been scant documentaries over the years specifically on Syd Barret. This recent one really dug deep in the research and features interviews with key individuals in Syd's orbit. Syd haunted Pink Floyd for the rest of their career although it can be argued that they tried their best to help him out and took care of him until the end.. I was quite surprised as to how many times Syd Barrett tried to re enter the music 'business'; not only his solo lp's but a few other bands and excursions. I heard an audience tape with David Gilmour where Syd abuptly walked off stage. Heartbreaking...;) Not a critique but I wonder why there wasn't more live and archival footage that has been seen on 'Tonight's Let's All Make Love In London' which shows Pink Floyd's first recording session in colour, Syd on holiday before being famous in Greece(?) under the influence of... tea ;)(!), not to mention the BBC documentary that came out just after his passing. I assume copyright wrangling had something to do with it not to mention making the documentary a good length and not overly long. More Syd all the time I say! He was such a visionary and really is on the short list as one of the all time kings of psychedelic rock (But I wonder what he would think of such a moniker!). A last observation: Why didn't Roger let him cut a solo on Shine On? He was ready to do it but alas the results may have been what was expected at that stage of the game... Shine On You Crazy Diamond!!!

"Have You Got It Yet"? The New Syd Barrett DVD/BLU-RAY release is splendid! I Painstakingly researched & loaded with things even the Barrett aficionado hasn't seen, and even a few tidbits one might not know. It's a proper homage to a music icon, whom the psychedelic movement flowed through him, metaphorically, and literally as unlike Jim Morrison, Syd did "Break on through", only, he seemingly liked it more than the limelight of the world stage. Long Live The Memory of the Crazy Diamond
