Not just an audiophile by passion, but a decade+ audio engineer at a reputable studio, the absolutely brilliance of this mix is not lost on me. I set aside an evening with no distractions and no expectations, popped it in, took a hit, sat in the center of my living room, and hit play. I can only speak for a 5.1.2 Atmos set up, I’m sure the 7.1.2 is even more insane, but WHOA. I half expected the mix to just be different tracks placed in different places around the room, but how insanely dynamic it was blew my mind. The amount of painstaking deliberateness that was put into making this mix an experience was mindblowing. I found myself laughing a few times because of how much of the space was being utilized. I’ve listened to this album a thousand times, and this one was the very first time all over again. If you have a system that you can take advantage of the uncompressed audio and even more so the Atmos environment, do not hesitate. It is a full blown experience. The Wall next?

Great audio mix

This Dolby Atmos mix is simply amazing. I have the privilege of listening to this masterpiece on my friend's high end 7.2.4 Atmos home theater system (with a 122" 4K projector/screen). Words can't describe how amazing this sounds. The clocks during time move around spatially around the room, as do the other sound effects during all the songs. The voices move around, the various instruments are sharp and they explode out of the speakers at you. I was grinning the entire time listening to this mix. I've heard this album hundreds of times and this was a truly amazing listening experience. It's still sounds good on my lesser system, but the Atmos mix is truly spectacular! You can tell there was a lot of thought, time and special care that went into it and I'm truly grateful this masterpiece will live on, especially in this format. Five stars doesn't do it justice. If you have an Atmos system, you MUST get this immediately.
